Hat Race
Each year in late July or early August, the masters rowing community comes together for a fun “Hat Race”. This is a great opportunity to meet other adult rowers and to row and socialize at different area boathouses. A Hat Race is when we throw all rower names into a hat and pick mixed/random boats to enjoy short race pieces against each other. Following the races, we all gather together for food and fellowship. A highlight of the year!
Marathon Row
Beginning in 2024, Aqueduct joined Burnt Hills Rowing for an attempt to row a marathon right here on the Mohawk River. While Burnt Hills has gone on this adventure for years, this was the first time Aqueduct rowers joined in the event. Beautiful weather and energetic crews kept the atmosphere fun. We look forward to continuing this challenge in years to come.
